Ruiseñor Psychological, a leader in Latino mental health and cultural competence training in Santa Maria and the greater Central Coast, is pleased to announce monthly salon-style clinical training seminars on Latino mental health and cultural competence in clinical practice and community work.
Dr. Dalia Ruiz, PsyD, Founder and CEO of Ruiseñor Psychological, cordially invites you to participate in these extraordinary clinical training seminars in Latino mental health and cultural competence.
These monthly seminars are offered to licensed clinical psychologists, MFTs, LCSWs, physicians, nurses, graduate students in clinical psychology, college faculty, public health workers, and immigration attorneys.
¡Hablan los Doctores! is presented by psychologist and scholar-practitioner, Salvador Treviño, PhD of Ruiseñor Psychological. Dr. Treviño has over 26 years of teaching, training, and supervising MFTs and psychologists, and 35 years of clinical expertise in Latino mental health and cultural competence.
Dr. Treviño’s monthly training seminars focus on culturally relevant conceptualizations of mood disorders, ADHD, conduct disorders, PTSD, immigration trauma, “resistance” to treatment, and “no - shows.” Topics also include culturally informed wraparound services, interactions with community schools, juvenile probation, social workers, community agencies, and culturally informed service plans, assessments, and interventions.
