Who We Are

Dalia M. Ruiz, PsyD LMFT
- President/CEO 

​Dr. Ruiz is a Professional Psychologist and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She graduated with her associate’s degrees in Liberal Studies and Psychology from Allan Hancock College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. Dr. Ruiz continued her education at Chapman University and completed a Master of Arts degree in General Psychology, emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2010. Dr. Ruiz went on to earn her doctorate in Clinical Psychology, emphasis in Family Forensic Psychology, from Antioch University in Santa Barbara, in June of 2015.

 

Driven by her passion for trauma work and children, Dr. Ruiz developed a culturally sensitive treatment model to treat Latino Childhood Trauma, which she has presented worldwide. Her extensive work with Individuals, Couples, and Families throughout our community and her contributions to the field ultimately garnished her Antioch’s Distinguished Graduate Award in 2016. Born in Mexico, Dr. Ruiz is bilingual, bicultural and is dedicated to serving the Monolingual Spanish-speaking community.
